Engagement-To-Dos
He finally proposed to you and you said "Yes!". Once the initial shock
wears off and you force yourself to look at other things (other than
that sparkly diamond on your finger), many decisions will need to be
made. When to get married? Where will the dream wedding be? Who are you
going to invite?
To help you start at the right footing, here are the first few things
you should do.
Wedding Perspective
Weddings should be glorious events. Two people are happily committing
to spending the rest of their lives together. Family and friends should
be gathered at the event to share in the joyful day. Alas, more than a
few weddings have gone off with the bride or groom failing to fully
enjoy the day. Frankly, more than a few brides and grooms have had
miserable times.
The Bridal Fair Experience
The story remains the same… When the initial shock wears off and you
force yourself to look at other things (other than that beautiful
diamond engagement ring on your finger), many decisions will need to be
made and you start to panic. Suddenly, questions such as: When to get
married? Where will the dream wedding be? Who are you going to invite?
Just pops one after the other. Relax. This is supposed to be the fun
part!
Be Prepared
Marriage License
The Application Form for a marriage license must be secured
at the Local Civil Registrar from the city, town or municipality where
either the bride or the groom habitually resides. NOTE: You and your
partner must apply together and in person. Your relatives or wedding
coordinator can not file this for you.
Birth Certificate Issues
I have a very long name and I hated it when I was growing up. Why?
Well, when I was in grade school by the time may classmates are ready
for our quiz I'm still writing my third name... Yes, you read it right,
3rd name. My name's so long that I had to use the second line to write
my full name. And just imagine the torture that I had when we were told
to write our names 100 times(!) for being noisy. How I wished my name
was Joy Lim or Ana Dy or any short name for that matter.

The Wedding Toast
What would a wedding reception be without the traditional wedding
toast? It’s like having a wedding cake without the icing. The wedding
toast is a profoundly moving gesture, as it conveys to the bride and
groom the heartfelt wishes of everyone who attended the wedding.
Beautiful Brides....
...A BRIDE SHOULD NOT BE OBLIGED TO FOLLOW HAIR & MAKE UP TRENDS,
THE VERY FIRST THING TO CONSIDER SHOULD BE WHAT MAKES A BRIDE
BEAUTIFUL...
...LESS IS MORE does not always apply to everyone...best
features must be thoroughly enhanced..(a flat nose may be given "a
little" shape) remember: you want to look good in photos why opt to
fade in the background? YOU ARE THE BRIDE!
...ALWAYS have your TRIAL hair and make up done before booking an
artist! Rehearse the look you desire, consider the artist's work
ethics, attitude, communication and always remember that a TRIAL would
give you an idea if you can TRUST him/her...
...for the BRIDAL BAG or "KIKAY KIT" needed for touch-ups: oil-blotting sheets, lipstick and loose/translucent powder...
"a great make-up starts with a healthy and beautiful skin..."
A Florist for your wedding
You have bought your bridal gown; you have reserved your reception
venue, what’s next? Decorating your reception venue is an important
task that you can’t start early enough. Your first step in decorating
your venue is to find the right florist. It sounds simple, but it takes
a lot of work.
Sand Ceremony
If you find the Unity Candle Ceremony too traditional for your wedding,
the Sand Ceremony can be a beautiful and meaningful alternative.
Saying Your Thank You
When the Groom makes a speech, he
replies on behalf of himself and his new wife. Tradition demands that
somewhere in the first sentence he will use the words... 'on behalf of myself and my wife'.

might want to consider Tagaytay or Batangas. How about Pampanga or the
exotic Davao? The Philippines has so many places to offer for you to
have that much needed relaxation and bonding time with your spouse. And
even though one would claim that all you need is each other, the
practical side of life kicks in when you’re out in unfamiliar places
and you don’t want to be caught unprepared in the middle of your
honeymoon.
